Sparks Fly was a serious proposition in the mud over 1m last autumn, so requires a second look despite needing to have come on a ton since her reappearance. Last year's renewal showed the hazards of trying to find a way through in a bunched finish at this track but there might be enough pace in today's race to sort them out more effectively and that could prove good news for ROYAL DRESS, one of last year's chief sufferers. Another strong late bid could be delivered by the 3yo Bermuda Longtail.[Richard Austen]
