It was only a question of time before LUCKY DU DONJON (6) lost his maiden status and he did it in good order earlier this month. Barefoot for his Vincennes bow, it would be no surprise to see him double up. LOU GEHRIG (5) however is undefeated in 3 public starts, was dynamic on re-entry, and will be no soft touch. LOOKING BOY (7) put in a reassuringly good performance here mid-month and returns to the main track with a good hand to play. LAVALO BELLO (10) has turned a corner over the last month and sports 4 pads for the first time as he bids for the 3-timer.

A terrific campaigner with form at the highest level, FREE TIME JEPSON (4) trounced the opposition on his Vincennes bow last month and a similar performance would give him a legitimate claim on the double. He will still be up against the tough, shod, and improving LUTIN JABA (8) who was by no means beaten when sanctioned here recently. A place behind him earlier in the month, FIDELIS DANCE (5) goes barefoot again and looks a decent place prospect.

Verdict
Already a Vincennes winner since moving to the Bazire stable, DAFNE DI POGGIO (2) has already won at this level here and with victory will extend her win-rate to an even 50 per cent. That said, JOY DU CARNOIS (12) has 2 runs in her since the break, is competitively shod for the first time, and can put up significant resistance. Yet to disappoint when barefoot, DIVA STARLIGHT (6) ran 3rd to JMB's charge here last month and should prove no easy touch, and neither should the reconfigured JOADIE WIND (5) provided she keeps her action together.
