Hiya Maite is respected in his bid to repeat last year's win in this race but he's not the only pace on show and the forecast headwind might complicate matters too. The two to make most appeal are Brave Nation, who has an excellent record over C&D on good or faster, and SQUEALER. The selection was collared in the final stride by Brave Nation in a C&D handicap last July but he's 15lb better off today and he confirmed he retained a chunk of ability with a promising third at Thirsk last month.
