Verdict
Following his winter break, IVAN DE L'ERDRE (14) gave a good account of himself on his first amateur start and, considering the entry, should be good enough to win a race of this nature. Not easy to fault when barefoot, ILLUSTRE BLUE (4) is 25m better off and should not be condemned for his latest run. Wonderfully-engaged on the front row, ICONIC JET (9) will be fully fit by now and races barefoot for the occasion. GENTLE DREAM (13) incurs the penalty but is clearly on a decent run of form and will be no pushover if he turns.
