Fifth in the Gr.1 Prix de Cornulier before oddly disappointing in the Gr.1 Prix de l'Ile-de-France a fortnight later, GAZELLE DE VAL (3) was given a change of scenery under harness at Laval and returns barefoot to the ridden code with every chance of imposing. Mathieu Mottier will still be keeping a watchful eye on IMPALA DE VAL (1) who is very hard to fault when barefoot under the saddle, and EXTREME DESBOIS (8) who is considerably better than recent numbers would suggest. HANNIBAL TUILERIE (10) has started to show some monte potential and should have the wherewithal to play a prominent role.
