The three oldest horses in the field have plenty going for them. In the case of ELDORADO ALLEN the positives are his reduced mark and a promising display over these fences in last season's Grand National, in which he weakened after being in front jumping four out. A return to form is needed but the reapplied tongue-tie could help. Latenightpass also produced an eyecatching display in the National 12 months ago before failing to see out the trip and he is second choice. Escaria Ten is next on the list, having run well in the 3m5f Cross Country at last month's Cheltenham Festival before fading late on. Grandeur d'Ame, Lisnamult Lad, Shantreusse and the thriving 6yo Bad all have possibilities, while last year's runner-up James Du Berlais could again be bang there but he doesn't find winning easy.[Ben Hutton]
