Fingers were burnt when Champagnesuperover came to grief at Catterick last month but he was travelling well at the time and it will be interesting to see whether his supporters wade in again. Preference, though, is for LAGONDA (nap), who ran very well in a competitive C&D mares' race in December and returns here after opening her chase account this month. Almazhar Garde was consistent last year and has considerably less to prove than some of the jaded veterans in this line-up.[Chris Wilson]
