Sandown Racecourse

Sandown Park, in the Surrey suburbs, hosts top-quality racing across both codes all year round. The track’s sole Group 1 comes in early July as a high-quality field line-up in the Eclipse Stakes. December’s Tingle Creek Chase has seen the likes of Desert Orchid, Kauto Star and Sprinter Sacre emerge victorious.

The track

Sandown is a fair, galloping course which sees horses with plenty of stamina thrive, particularly on the climb towards the line. It’s a right-handed, oval track, that is 1m 5f in length.
