There is no shortage of interest and none of the field can be ruled out with confidence. Brazen Bolt went AWOL for his former yard last summer but he begins life with Ruth Carr off a lowly mark and goes well at this track so any market confidence would look significant. Squealer is another lurking on a menacing mark and he could bounce back from his disappointing trip to Bahrain, while Kodiac Thriller (second choice) made a pleasing start for new connections and could be better suited by this first crack at 5f. Paul Midgley has a fine recent record in this race, though, and FRANK THE SPARK (nap) may well be the answer after his strong-finishing second at Beverley 12 days ago.[Paul Smith]
