Precious Spartan is the obvious starting point after last week's runaway C&D success on his first outing for Patrick Neville. A 6lb penalty against stiffer opposition means he'll need to be at least as good again and there are viable alternatives. Flamborough Head and Epicurian Lad (second choice) still look capable of better but BETA READER might be worth chancing. A 7f winner in March, he wasn't seen to good effect at Kempton a fortnight ago and he still has low mileage.
