This looks tricky but it might be worth siding with point winner BROUGHSHANE, who was generally progressive over hurdles including a win in similar conditions at this track. He's a half-brother to a useful chaser and could have a good future at this new discipline. Royal Mer took another step back in the right direction when a clear second at Lingfield last month and he's feared most ahead of Alto Alto and Next Left.[David Moon]
