Jesuila Des Mottes
Lightly raced; came clear of the others when third in a 2m4f maiden for mares at Southwell (good to soft) and the well-bred runner-up went one better last week; this mark is no gift for handicap debut but she's on the shortlist with room for improvement.

Bumped into a bang-in-form rival at Lingfield (2m7f, good; second run in a handicap) before a flat performance at Doncaster which wasn't her true running; remains of interest off this sort of mark.

Diamatiste
Things have picked up in his last two handicaps and he was 16l clear of the third when going down narrowly at Exeter (2m5f, good to soft) last time under Joshua Newman; clear chance.

Double Click
Has won here but all three hurdle wins have come at about 2m; has returned from a lengthy break in fair form but others can see this out stronger.

Limerick Leader
Made all for a comfortable win at Perth (2m4f, good) in September on final outing for Olly Murphy; joined this yard for £17,000 and the 11lb rise was surely a factor in his 17l defeat at Exeter when well behind Diamatiste.

Five wins over fences and two over hurdles; the last to complete when third at Fakenham (2m hurdle, good) on his return from a long absence and has more to prove than some in here.

Twice runner-up in six runs for this yard but no threat in his last two races and seems to have some quirks.

Smacked of an improver when 1l third in a Bangor maiden hurdle (2m, good) before going off too fast at Newton Abbot; bit to prove on slower ground but could easily be on a realistic mark for handicap debut; off since June.

Went close to finally getting off the mark at Lingfield (2m7f, soft) when the front two pulled clear; creditable 4l third at Market Rasen one week later and he's now 4lb higher, but the visor that was on at Lingfield (replaced by blinkers last time) is at least back on.

Sole win came over hurdles in early 2022; tailed off on the Flat and over hurdles since a long absence.
