Returned from winter break with two good runs, the latter a very dominant C&D (good) win from the front one month ago; well beaten under a penalty a few days later, having suffered a wound to his hoof, but remains well handicapped on older form; major player if back on song.
Scored in first-cheekpieces at Fontwell (2m1f, good to soft) in September and bettered that performance when clear second at Musselburgh (2m4f, good to soft) in December; absent since running poorly just before Christmas, though, and the headgear is missing here.
Unable to justify solid market support on final two appearances last season (pulled up/beaten 38l) and has now been unplaced all seven hurdling starts; evidently thought capable of better, though, and it will be interesting to see whether his supporters wade in again; drops back in trip; cheekpieces removed after one use.
