Son Of Red
Absent for 874 days after his C&D win in 2022 but he returned for another new yard with a win at Wolverhampton (2m) in December; that was a very narrow success but he travelled well for a long way and is only 2lb higher here; respected back from another break.

Completed a 1m6f four-timer here in January before two creditable efforts at Southwell; probably still not handicapped out of things but he's struggled back over hurdles in last two runs and he still has something to prove at this trip; headgear removed.

All five wins have been over 2m on AW; couldn't pose a threat at Lingfield last month but the drop back to 1m5f looked against him and he went very close on his Wolverhampton reappearance in March; still looks feasibly treated on that form and has possibilities back at his optimum trip.

Held in fourth of five back over hurdles at Fakenham (2m7f) last month but he made his breakthrough on the Flat when scoring here (1m6f) on his penultimate run; only 2lb higher than for that success and he's respected back on the Flat.

Four-time winner on Polytrack and last three have been at this course (1m5f-2m); his last success was 13 months ago but that was off today's mark on his reappearance last spring; yard is in decent form and he needs a close look back from 190 days off.
