The Good Doctor
Hurdle wins came in France (very soft) and in a novice at Fontwell (good to soft); already a better chaser after seconds in 2m handicaps at Warwick and Newbury (both good to soft), giving it absolutely everything when nosed out last time by a Venetia Williams improver; big shout off just 1lb higher; probably ready for this extra yardage.

Denemethy
Only beat three rivals at Market Rasen (2m1f, good to soft) but has always looked a horse with potential and duly stepped up on that form to finish third in a good contest at Exeter on Monday; non-runner.

Ten chase runs have yielded three wins and as many seconds; bounced back from a rare blip to come clear at Ludlow (2m4f, good to soft) but an 8lb rise may demand more again; still respected.

Won a 2m soft-ground handicap hurdle by 10l here last March; his jumping lacked fluency so did well to go so close on chase debut at Sandown (1m7f, soft) and conditions were extremely testing when fourth at Haydock; massive shout on that penultimate effort.

Golden De Coeur
Dual Irish point winner who showed significant promise in maiden hurdles, finishing only 5l off the high-class The Jukebox Man on one occasion; pulled up on chase/handicap debut in May but his Windsor run (2m4f, good to soft) was more encouraging and that was after 210 days away; respected off what should be a good mark.

Fever Dream
His hurdle win came off a 9lb lower mark (good to firm); has contested three handicap chases, the standout run when beaten under 8l at Southwell (2m4f, good); finished well behind Golden De Coeur the last time on good to soft and he probably wants drier ground.

Captain Boudet
Good effort under top weight when third of 18 in a 2m3f handicap hurdle at Chepstow and didn't run badly at Exeter (2m5f), for all that he didn't fare quite so well; has a pointing background and connections now send him over fences with a tongue-tie added.
