Verdict
Although unproven in the amateur division and unraced since late last year, IVORY WIND (13) is an excellent servant, enjoys a super entry here, and races barefoot for the first time. She will still face opposition from JO DU DON (10) who put on quite the show here on first start back, and the faithful JIVE BOY (3) who breaks with a 25m head-start. IVA ROYALE (12) has never left Chartres empty-handed and even though unseen since December, she takes a notable dip in category and should prove competitive for a place in the frame.

She will still be opposed by the progressive LORETTE D'ERABLE (4) whose Reims return did not go unnoticed, and the well-engaged LEONTINE CASH (10) who missed out by little here last month. LOLLIPOP TIVO (3) didn't miss a beat over the winter and will be entrusted to Eric Raffin for the first time.

LE TOUQUET (9) may be a tricky character at the best of times but he remains unbeaten when applied and, shod as he was at Vire, can get right back in the game. Already a winner over course and distance, and yet to be bested with Eric Raffin reining, LARRY DU DOUBS (11) must be considered a contender, as should LUPIN DU RIB (10) who won his only barefoot start. As consistent as they get, KANSAS DU HOCTI (13) is reunited with Eric Raffin after having gone close at Cherbourg and is thoroughly capable of winning this. He will however be up against a reinvigorated KISS ME JIVE (2) who is 25m better off, and KENNEDY TEXAN (3) who debuts in the discipline in excellent shape. Reassuring last time out, JALFRAZIE (5) races with just hind shoes this time and will be no pushover.

Nicely-entered at the limit of earnings, JERICHO DU RIB (16) may still be a race shy but he is hard to knock at this level and can have his day in the sun. His young driver will however want to be wary of the in-form JOHN ANGOT (5) who has shown a liking for these conditions, and who happens to be 25m better off. JASMINE DE JYR (13) should not be too hastily-judged for her Laval performance and deserves to be brought back into the fold. Sent for a short spell after going close at Pontchateau two months ago, KELCANTO BELLO (4) is barefoot for the occasion, should take well to the new conditions, and looks the one to beat. KEYBOARD (9) may be 25m worse off but he too runs barefoot and will be partnered by Eric Raffin this time. Reassuring at Graignes under the saddle, KASSANDRA WIND (11) sports a new configuration for the occasion and looks a player. A reconfigured KINGALA (5) has 25m less to run and in current form is easy to like for a first 3 spot.

Solid at Graignes on just his second start back, and just 50 Euros from elimination, HIT PERRINE (14) has already won here and can do so again. Benjamin Rochard will still be keeping an eye on a barefoot HELIOS D'ANCLEMAX (2) who picked up at Agen last month where he left off at Christmas, and GISARO (3) who will be dangerous if Louis Baudouin gets him off on the right foot. Not far off Jean-Francois Mary's horse at Graignes, HOUGARDEN (13) is also nicely-engaged and will be competitive for a place.
