A fascinating handicap with a lot of the runners in with a plausible chance. Queenofthelodge is a dependable mare and was a winner last time but she is creeping up the handicap. Warm in Gorey has shown a liking for this track and can improve from his seasonal return over fences. ROSE BOUM pulled well clear with one other last time and appears to have responded well to blinkers. She can get her day in the sun here. [Denis Harney]

Bumper winner who upped his form to another level when winning a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in April with a subsequent winner back in third (2m4f soft); tailed off when out of his depth at Punchestown festival last time (2m3f, yielding); will likely be seen at his best over fences.
Maiden hurdle winner in 2023 but well held on three starts since; returned from 292 day absence at this track in April finishing tenth of 25; entitled to come on from that and still lightly raced.
Two wins on the Flat and 2-18 over hurdles; last win came at Limerick from a 2lb lower mark in December 2023 (2m, heavy); form hasn't been great since then and beaten 36L in a Gowran Flat handicap last time (1m5f, heavy); blinkers go on but others appeal more; top rider.
Some good placed runs last year and has three handicap hurdle wins with the last coming at Listowel in September 2023 from a mark of 104 (2m4f, soft-heavy), she has also won on good; returns from a 294 day absence but on the shortlist if ready to rock; rider opened point-to-point account recently.
Career best performance came on penultimate start when winning a Naas handicap hurdle (2m3f, good-yielding); raised 7lb and ran very poorly at this track last time; hard to depend on and form of his win hasn't worked out; a top rider aboard.
Bumper winner and won a Tramore mares' maiden hurdle in April (2m, yielding); pulled up at Listowel 8 days ago when found to be lame; rider takes off 4lb and can't be completely ruled out.
Winner over both hurdles and fences; last win came in September 2024 in a handicap chase at Downpatrick from a mark of 106 (2m7f, good); a good second at Limerick from a 1lb lower mark last October; returns from a layoff but has the form to feature.
Two time chase winner reverts back to hurdles for first time in two years; rated 4lb lower in this sphere and wasn't running terribly last year; can make his presence felt if sufficiently ready after long break; very capable rider.
Set a tall order when returned from a hefty layoff in a beginners' chase at Tipperary last month; won a handicap hurdle from a 6lb lower mark at Clonmel last year (2m, good); he is best on a sound surface and can improve from his comeback run.
Consistent and likeable mare; had three seconds in a row before getting her head in front at Downpatrick last month when she showed grit to come out on top (2m2f, good); didn't jump great that day so scope for improvement in that department but she is getting high in the handicap; rider had a fine season in points, well supported by this stable.
Has shown promise in some of his bumper and maiden hurdle starts; made handicap hurdle debut in March at Limerick with a good effort when sixth (2m, soft); he is dropped 2lb since then and wears a first time tongue tie so there are reasons to be hopeful.
Got third hurdles win at Thurles in November off 96; struggled off revised mark at Fairyhouse later that month; went over fences for seasonal return last month with a midfield finish (2m, good-yielding); has shown a liking for this track so has a chance.
Has run well the last twice since returning from a break; particularly when pulling 25L clear with one other when second at Wexford last time; raised 6lb for that but she appears to have responded well to the application of blinkers and she may get her day in the sun here; jockey has plenty of point-to-point experience.
3lb out of the handicap; Jekyll and Hyde type profile; intersperses a good run with a bad one; last time was one of the bad ones when he was beaten by 74L at Sligo at 5-1 (2m4f, good); prior to that was a pleasing second at Fairyhouse from a 4lb lower mark; hard to depend on but capable of running well.
