Salsada
Seen far more often over hurdles in recent years and she's pretty useful, but pulled up in March on latest outing; stiff task in a three-runner race last September and that's her only Flat run since a creditable show over C&D (good to firm) in June 2022; down the weights but not solid.

Youthful King
Has run over 1m4f and 2m but never in between and it's worth a shot; respectable fourth of seven under usual rider Jack Dace at Newbury (2m) on penultimate start came off 3lb higher and, despite a poor show on AW last time, he needs a second look in the first-time hood.

Kotari
Sole run on good to firm when runner-up in 2022 in France; registered a hat-trick over 1m2f/1m4f last spring, with the second leg at this course; 2lb lower now than his last winning mark, as his fortunes went on the slide in the autumn; unraced over this far on the Flat but it's worth a go; withdrawn at Epsom recently when the ground was good to firm.

Rapid Mission
Won last July (1m4f, good) on his final start for Joseph O'Brien but he's not done much since on the Flat or over hurdles; tongue-tie added when tailed off back on Flat (1m2f, AW) in February on latest outing.

Macari
Won for the first time on the Flat when bolting up from the front in an amateur riders' event at Newbury (1m4f, heavy) last October off 7lb lower; rather in and out since but his recent third at Goodwood (1m6f, good) was creditable; 5lb claimer is now recruited.

Wore cheekpieces on last two outings and won them both; neither was without alarm, as he hung badly left when challenging at Wolverhampton (1m4f, AW) on first occasion and needed plenty of riding to oblige at 11-10 in a five-runner race at Redcar (1m6f, good to firm) on latest; however, raised just another 3lb and this staying prospect has more to give.

Both of his wins (from 30 races) were in summer 2022; it's over a year since he accomplished anything significant and slow starts are playing a part; while he should be well down the weights, position 5lb out of the handicap takes the gloss off that.
