Kicksaftersix looked very well suited by the step up in trip when scoring over C&D last month and can go well again, while Super Citizen is also in good form. However, the suggestion is COULDBEAWEAPON, who is very well handicapped on some of his form for Ben Pauling and who tackles a new trip after a fairly encouraging stable debut last month.[Chris Wilson]

No longer the force of old but capitalised upon some help from the handicapper at Carlisle (3m, good) last month, and again stuck to his task well when second at Kelso (2m7f, good) a fortnight later; respected.
Ran poorly in first-time cheekpieces (retained) at end of March but made good start to chasing career when second to next-time-out winner Halfway House Lad at Newcastle (2m7f, good to soft) a fortnight earlier and still has low mileage; contender if back on song.
Won over C&D in 2023 and was also on target at Cartmel (3m1f, good) last summer but ran poorly over C&D on latest outing in November and has fitness to prove today.
Yet to win for current stable but comes here after two close thirds at Sedgefield (3m2f, good) last month and has very obvious each-way claims if in similar form again.
Won twice off today's mark last season, the first time over C&D (good) just under a year ago; ended that campaign with two below-par runs here (4m/3m), though, and others in the line-up have a bit less to prove.
Became disappointing for Ben Pauling last year but made fairly encouraging stable debut at Sedgefield (2m3f, good) last month; on a very good mark now and it will be interesting to see whether he can build upon that recent effort on this first venture beyond about 2m4f.
0-9 over hurdles but returned to form with pretty good third at Ayr (3m, soft) in March and has possibilities if able to transfer that form to fences on this chasing debut.
Kept on well to beat Halfway House Lad fairly comfortably over C&D (good) last month and is now 2-15 over fences; back up to career-high mark after 7lb rise but still unexposed over 3m; shortlisted.
Dual chase winner on good to soft ground in March, latterly over C&D, and ran well from the front when second to Kicksaftersix over C&D (good) last month; nudged up another 2lb since last time but likely to give another good account.
Seems well suited by this track but was well beaten on last month's chasing debut at Carlisle (2m5f, good) and is now 0-25 under all codes; 3lb out of the weights today; others preferred.
Veteran who has not won since 2020 and did not show a great deal on his two starts fo Lizzie Quinlan towards the end of last season; 5lb out of the weights today; difficult to enthuse over.
