Several with similar sorts of chances, notably Reyenzi and recent C&D placers Vorfreude and Nobler but there was lots to like about the manner in which SOUND OF LIGHTNING (nap) finished out her race on her Curragh debut last month when the penny only dropped late on and she gets the vote. Ribchester gelding a 3,000Euros yearling, resold for 6,000Euros; fourth foal; dam unplaced 8.5f/1m1f in France, sister to Fillies' Mile winner Lyric Of Light; newcomer best watched.
Churchill colt was slowly away and ran green so wasn't at all disgraced in the circumstances when beaten little over 6l on debut earlier this month in good-class Leopardstown maiden over this trip; something to build on.
Estidhkaar gelding is first foal of a placed half-sister to winners Harriet's Force (1m 2yo), Rahya Cass (6f 2yo) and It's Not It (1m3f), family of 1m2f Group 1/Grade 1 winner Storming Home; hooded for debut and best watched.
Half-brother to winners Emiyn, Edessan and Edzel; dam 1m4f Group 3 winner, from the family of Gold Cup winners Enzeli and Estimate; slow to break, some late headway on debut early this month in C&D maiden won by better-fancied stablemate Dakota Blue; more expected of now with benefit of that experience but owner/yard has a more obvious one here in Reyenzi.
Elusive Pimpernel gelding fetched only 1,000gns as a yearling; brother to winners Elusive Heights (1m; RPR 104) and Erratic Path (9.4f; 90), half-brother to winners Unterberg (10.6f/1m4f AW; 74) and Marmolata (7f; 69); dam 7f winner (inc 2yo/Group 3; 104); Keane prefers Joe Cool so debutant probably best watched.
Saxon Warrior colt; cost 27,000gns as a foal; half-brother to four winners including Connemara Coast (7f-1m1f including 2yo/AW/HK; RPR 94) and Poppy's Boys (US 5f-8.5f turf including 2yo); unraced dam out of French Oaks/Moulin winner; market likely best guide on debut.
Saxon Warrior half-brother to winners Arqoob (1m-1m4f Flat inc AW, RPR 98; 2m hurdle), Chimney Rock (German 1m1f/1m3f; 96) and Dromantine (7f AW 2yo; 79); dam 6f/7f winner (inc AW; 96), half-sister to two Group 3 winners; debutant looks the lesser likely of the Harrington quartet.
Golden Horn gelding showed promise with staying on second behind a runaway winner at Galway (8.5f, yielding) in September and following month keen enough when third in Haydock novice on testing ground; will be well suited by middle-distances this year and one to consider.
Decent level of form at two when second in maidens at Listowel and Curragh and better form on seasonal return early this month over C&D, not quite getting home after racing keenly when caught for second late on by today's rival Vorfreude; will need to settle better but big player.
Saxon Warrior colt; dam modest maiden half-sister to winners Raydara (7f 2yo Group 2), Rondonia (1m/1m2f) and Rayna (1m3f/1m4f); eyecatching 2yo debut in 7f Naas maiden in September, blowing the start and then making up considerable late ground to finish second; should stay 1m2f, major contender on return.
Couple of promising 2yo runs and took a step forward on seasonal return over C&D last month, rallying to deny Nobler of second after racing prominently; shouldn't be much between the pair again here.
Creditable form in Galway 2yo maiden and on last month's Curragh return when staying on over 1m; longer trip should suit and appears the pick of the Harrington runners.
Australia filly is first foal of a 1m winner (RPR 77), herself a half-sister to US winners Breadman (1m/1m1f) and Princess Akris (1m/8.5f); likely the Harrington second-choice on debut.
Gregorian filly is sister to 2m/2m2f Flat (RPR 84) and 2m-3m1f hurdle winner Bellatrixsa, closely related to 7f 2yo winner Giovanni Batista (7f 2yo; 87), half-sister to six winners inc Aristia (1m2f inc Group 1; 115); dam placed 7f-1m4f; newcomer likely all the better for the experience.
Fastnet Rock filly whose unraced dam is sister to winners Yucatan (Australian 1m4f Group 2), Faufiler (US 9.5f Grade 3) and Mount Everest (1m2f Listed), and half-sister to 5f Group 2 winner Planet Five, family of Breeders' Cup Mile winner Six Perfections; caught the eye on last month's Curragh debut over this trip, staying on strongly to finish third after racing green; quite likely she could improve enough to play a leading role.
