Rated in the 80's in his prime, the veteran TAKEACHANCEONJIMMY ran a cracker at Bellewstown recently on returning from an absence and still appears well handicapped despite a 3lb rise. He gets the vote ahead of the likes of Relevant Range, Nahori, Tofino and Finsceal Annie. Vega Muse disappointed on handicap debut at Gowran on Wednesday but may appreciate this better ground. Dual AW/turf winner at this trip, most recently off 77 at Dundalk in January 2024; operating at a lower level of late, wasn't helped by a wide draw at Leopardstown last time and similar scenario here.
Better AW performer albeit at shorter trips; left with plenty to do over 6f at the Curragh on latest of two runs this term for new yard, now reverts to this longer trip.
Six-time winner including at Fairyhouse last September, first win in two years; two runs this term over inadequate 6f some way below best but will appreciate return to this longer trip; stall 17 is a negative.
1m winner on soft for David Simcock; heavy defeats both starts this term for new yard, 6f too short last time; down 4lb so don't rule out improved show here.
Turf winner at Tipperary last summer (good-to-firm) and scored at Dundalk in November; good effort at latter venue on latest so considered (has form on yielding) with new headgear combination.
Winless since scoring on debut at Dundalk late 2023 but ran well in defeat last year for Tom Gibney, final three starts at the Curragh; remains on an okay mark, market possibly best guide on seasonal/yard debut.
Sole victory came over 6f at Thirsk (good) on debut for Saeed Bin Suroor; regressive since, although not discredited last time at Bellewstown; still hard to fancy.
Got his head back in front with shock 50-1 win at Listowel last September and signal of a return to form on return early this month at Bellewstown, coming home strongly under today's rider (just ahead of Nezeeh); better for that and one to consider although doesn't want it soft.
Long losing run but emerged from 159-day absence with fine effort early this month off much reduced mark at Bellewstown, coming off pace to push winner all the way over this trip (couple of today's rivals behind); 3lb higher but still well handicapped and should go well.
Three wins in Britain (including on soft) including on penultimate start at Wolverhampton last month; well held off 7lb higher at same track since though; returns to turf, others preferred.
Eight wins include twice over 1m on AW; missed last season and no threat both AW runs over the winter (cheekpieces tried last time); hard to be confident in back on turf.
Came up against some very smart types in maidens; well-backed on handicap debut at Gowran on Wednesday but hung and weakened over 1f out over 1m; wide draw a negative.
Reserve; won at Yarmouth and Southwell last year for the Crisfords; nicely improved on second start for this yard when staying on well after slow start and having to be switched when only beaten 2l at Leopardstown last month; likes a sound surface, could go well if handling this ground.
