This has the look of an open renewal. The mares Kala Conti and Lantry Lady are much respected and Sandor Clegane could be a force with the testing ground bringing his assured stamina into play. However, although KOPECK DE MEE was a bitter disappointment when all the talk of the town for Cheltenham's Martin Pipe, he showed his true colours when perhaps unlucky not to have won a deep handicap at Aintree where the winner got first run. The 5yo surely has more to offer and he coped well with testing ground in France.[Alistair Jones]
