The two standout contenders on form are the penalised pair Regal Ulixes and DAIQUIRI BAY. The former won in good style at Newbury in the autumn but he returns after 259 days off and slight preference is for Alan King's colt. He built on his promising Newbury debut when storming clear at Chester last month and recorded an RPR of 95 with that impressive success.[David Moon]

62,000gns breeze-up 2yo; shaped with promise when 33-1 third behind an impressive winner on Newbury debut (1m, heavy) in October; well backed into 11-4 on reappearance at Chester (10.3f, good) last month and he came from off the pace again to score by 5l; sets a high standard under a penalty for that success and he's open to more progress; key player.
Made a promising start when third at Goodwood (1m, good) in September and he built on that when scoring at Newbury (1m, soft) 17 days later; that was a four-runner race but he beat the favourite with something in hand and he looks a useful prospect for middle distances this season; respected with hood added on his return.
By Dubawi and out of a close relative to Enable; 5-4 favourite at Yarmouth (1m2f, good) in April but was never involved after a slow start and he was well held again when 2-1 at Haydock three weeks later; in good hands and still early days but he needs plenty of progress with cheekpieces added.
Well-held fifth on Wolverhampton debut (9.4f, Tapeta) in March and same outcome at Chelmsford (1m2f, Polytrack) last month; has lots to find on this switch to turf and handicaps are an option after this.
Frankel colt who cost 190,000euros as a yearling and is a half-brother to seven winners; market springer into 6-1 on Newmarket debut (1m2f, good) in April but he was always behind after a slow start and finished a tailed-off last of nine.
50,000euros 2yo; refused to enter the stalls in two intended outings this year; got his career started at Leicester (1m2f, good to firm) 11 days ago but he missed the break and was a never-dangerous fourth of six; this looks another tough assignment and he may need more time and distance.
370,000gns foal; 7-2 for Newcastle debut (1m, AW) in November but he ran green and finished a well-held seventh of 12; should know much more on this step up in trip but he needs major improvement after seven months off.
