Doc McCoy (second choice) is the solid option after successfully returning to hurdles at Fakenham last month, but it may be worth chancing LAND GIRL'S LUCK. She doesn't look an easy ride, but the ability is there and the step back up in trip and return of the cheekpieces (in which she scored at Sedgefield) may enable her to show it.[David Bellingham]

C&D winner in October 2023 and made a successful return to hurdles when beating three rivals at Fakenham (2m4f, good) last month; only 2lb higher and should go well again.
Won twice over hurdles (2m, good) last year including one here; showed up well for a long way on his return from 128 days off at Market Rasen (2m3f, good) last month, but again this sort of trip begs a question.
Both hurdle wins at Fakenham, the latest in December (2m7f, good to soft); won over 1m6f on the AW at Chelmsford in March, but this trip in a small field may not be a sufficient stamina test for him now.
Won a Sedgefield maiden hurdle (2m1f, good; first-time cheekpieces) last month but well held in two handicaps since, albeit her latest Worcester performance was the subject of a running and riding inquiry; doesn't look an easy ride, but stepping back up in trip in the returning headgear makes her interesting.
