An intriguing heat. If MAGNUM FORCE is fit for his seasonal reappearance he should be up to winning this on ground he will relish. The returning Bucanero Fuerte was a top-class juvenile but whether he retains that level of ability remains to be seen, so the consistent Powerful Nation could prove to be the biggest danger. Ostraka may improve returned to the minimum trip and she can fight it out for black type with Gutsy Girl. [Dave Stephens]

Rated 106; likeable ten-time winner, the latest coming over 7f (soft) in a Listed Curragh heat in March; goes on any ground but found things happening a bit too quickly in a Listed race over this C&D on latest when a 5l fourth of 7 behind Two Stars; hasn't won over this short a trip since 2022 and might just need a bit further these days.
110 rated Group 1 winning 2yo returns to the track after an unsuccessful spell at stud; sole win as a 3yo came in a Group 3 here over 6f last May; came up short in top tier sprints subsequently, though not beaten that far in the Sprint Cup and Flying Five before struggling on soft at Ascot; should enjoy the ground here and has gone well fresh before; chance if retaining his ability.
101 rated mare is 3-13 on turf; pulled off a shock 5f Listed win at Dundalk in October, beating Powerful Nation by a head; poor efforts both starts this season, though 6f may have stretched her last time at Cork (behind Gutsy Girl); may well do better returned to 5f on fast ground but she'll need a big career best to win in this company.
112 rated 3yo Mehmas colt progressed well as a 2yo, culminating with a win in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar (5f, firm); well-treated by the race conditions on his return, fast ground is ideal and while this is likely a stepping stone towards bigger targets later in the season, he is the one they have to beat.
90 rated filly won twice for Charlie Fellowes, a 6f Carlisle maiden (gd-fm) and a 6f Kempton handicap off 83; ran creditably on debut for this yard when a 2.5l fourth of 8 in a Listed race at Cork (6f, good, Ostraka well behind); beaten off 90 in a 5f Curragh handicap latest; hard to see her winning this but could stay on and nick some black type if they go off too quickly in front.
103 rated 3yo Sioux Nation colt narrowly denied over 5f at Dundalk the last twice; beaten 0.5l in a Listed race in early October and a head by Ostraka in a Group 3 there later that month when not getting a clear run; also has placed Listed form at 5f on good to firm; gets weight from most of his rivals and returns with his yard in fine form; should go well.
87 rated 3yo filly; Listed placed at two at the Curragh (5f, good); off the mark in a 5f Cork maiden (good) on seasonal reappearance; raced a bit keenly and finished well beaten in a Cork Listed race on latest (5.5f, good); gets weight from all her rivals but needs more to get involved at the finish in this company; wears a first-time tongue tie.
