He wasn't in the same form in Bahrain this winter as he had been 12 months earlier; the upside of that is that he returns to Britain off a dangerous mark and the drop into a Class 4 could help revive his fortunes.

Brazen Bolt
Useful for the Quinns in his pomp and has often run well at this track; in good form in Bahrain in late 2023/early 2024 but the wheels fell off on his return to Britain, barely beating a rival in five starts; begins life with Ruth Carr (same owner) off a much-reduced mark and he's an interesting contender.

Master Of My Fate
Four 5f handicap wins on AW this winter but up in the weights and he has been comfortably held on his last three runs, the latest over C&D two weeks ago; needs to find more.

Three wins (5f-6f on a variety of ground) in 2024; clobbered by the handicapper for the last of them (Bath; 5.5f, soft) and found things happening too quickly for him off this mark on his reappearance six weeks ago; others look better treated.

Alligator Alley
Two-time C&D winner; promising effort at Southwell last month but unable to sustain his effort over C&D two weeks ago having raced prominently in a strongly run affair; better than that and not ruled out; stable also run Brazen Bolt.

Emeralds Pride
Course winner (6f); last season's two wins came at Beverley and she ran well at that track on her recent return to action given she had a wide stall; work to do to reverse those placings with Frank The Spark though.

Good form when winning at Sandown last April for Andrew Balding (5f, good) but he went the wrong way afterwards; two promising efforts for new yard, finishing in midfield over C&D two weeks ago having been on the sharp end of a strong pace; handicapped to win soon.

Kodiac Thriller
Just one win for Charles Hills but last summer's best form came off higher marks than this; pleasing return to action/stable debut at Pontefract 17 days ago and being dropped 1lb helps; untried at 5f but he's not short of pace and he's another interesting contender.

On the up last summer and better than ever in defeat this year, finishing with a flourish for second at Beverley 12 days ago; should get a good pace to run at here and there still looks to be mileage in his mark; stable has won four of the last seven renewals of this race; plenty of appeal.
