The last two runnings of this novice have gone to a previous winner and can do so again courtesy of MAYBERRY MOON, who scored nicely on his Carlisle debut last summer before bursting a blood vessel on his second outing. Ay Gee Ell would be a player if transferring his best AW form back to turf, while money for his stablemate Azure Zain on debut would be interesting. The best alternative, however, may be Memphisatmidnight who showed ability on his Southwell debut and should be suited by this stiffer track.[David Bellingham]

Sent off 15-2 when making a successful debut at Carlisle (6f, soft) last June (race produced winners) and was reported to have bled when tailed off at Pontefract the following month; hooded on this return from 289 days off and a big player given that he has proved he can go well fresh.
Patchy form in four starts since returning on the AW in February but has twice finished runner-up at Wolverhampton (5f); something to prove back on turf and may need a stiffer test than this now, but his form still makes him a player; stable won this last year.
31,000euros yearling, 80,000euros breeze-up 2yo; first foal; dam 6f winner (RPR 60), half-sister to numerous winners including Boston Rocker (Group-placed 6f 2yo), Mustallib (useful 6f), Fille Du Septembre (5f 2yo), Mr Tyrell (7f-1m) and Rocking The Boat (5f 2yo); from a successful family and interesting to see what the market says on debut, especially in relation to stablemate Ay Gee Ell.
16-1 when beaten just under 4l into sixth of nine on last month's Southwell debut (5f, AW); hinted at ability there and this stiffer track may suit; not discounted.
