Not an easy race to assess and the suggestion is HIBERNATE, who looked to be going the right way on his handicap debut and may be capable of getting off the mark now dropping in grade. Pistrucci is another who should appreciate the drop in class, while Gigi Bliss is a possible improver now going up in trip and entering handicaps. Course winner Glenridding and Telecommunication, who is on a recovery mission, are not written off.[Jonathan Doidge]

Has shown glimpses of ability but been unable to capitalise, his best effort being over 7f at Haydock (good to firm) last August; was probably a bit too free on his reappearance; could be better for that run, the drop in grade and this return to further but has that to prove.
Didn't show a vast amount on his first three starts; gelded prior to his reappearance and handicap debut at Chelmsford (1m2f, AW), when he took a step in the right direction; drop in grade can help and he could be competitive.
Won on handicap debut here (1m, good to firm) last September, when racing prominently; backed that up with two marginally better efforts last year; hasn't been quite as good in two starts at Chelmsford (both 1m2f, AW) in recent months but is not written off back here.
Has made some improvement since a low-key start but was never involved at Southwell (7f, AW) last month; this longer trip should help facilitate a better showing now she enters handicaps, so check the market for any clues.
Not devoid of ability and was placed at Southwell (1m, AW) last October; not far off that level on his reappearance at Wolverhampton (9.5f, AW), when running in snatches and a beaten favourite; more needed from the same mark.
Showed promise when second on handicap debut at Wolverhampton (8.5f, AW) last October but has been below that level since; was competitive until weakening into third back there (9.5f) latest; each-way possible.
Dead heated for first (9.5f, AW) on her nursery debut last September, before taking a couple of backward steps; resumes back on her proper mark but needs to have improved to defy it.
Well beaten in three qualifying starts at up to 1m2f last year; similar tale on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton (9.5f, AW) recently; needs improvement from same mark on turf debut.
