Exposed maidens Blue Empress and Maids Head have been running over 7f on the AW and could again be vulnerable to improvers. Cooramook is worth a look but this can go to MAELSTROM, who's evidently thought capable of better than he showed on his final two runs last autumn.[Graham Wheldon]

Twice below market expectations on rain-softened ground last backend after a promising debut; dam was a good-ground Group 3 winner (2yo) and he looks to be starting handicap life at a sensible level; can do better.
Exposed maiden who usually has plenty of use made of her, including twice from wide stalls round Wolverhampton of late; she's been fine with 7f, though, and needs more for the return to sprinting/turf.
Consistent since entering 7f handicaps on the AW, finishing placed in all four; hasn't looked to fail on the stamina front, though, and needs more over this easy 6f back on turf.

Much her best effort last year came at Catterick and she surged back to form there a fortnight ago; will be suited by today's extra furlong if able to reproduce the effort off the same mark.
100,000gns yearling who showed ability on her second run last autumn before faring as well as could have been expected on her comeback; looks to go handicapping off a workable mark and remains open to improvement.
Has started single-figure prices for three AW maidens this year and again looked ready for another crack at this trip last time; has improvement left in him and market confidence would make him interesting.
