The Ormer Gatherer flashed home to get off the mark over 1m2f at Lingfield and it's still early days for him with his current stable. Preference ahead of him, however, is for TRUSTY SCOUT (nap) who made an eyecatching reappearance recently after a long layoff. Lhebayeb and Aeroplane Mode are next on the list.[Richard Austen]

Often front-runner and ridden since October by Elle-May Croot; last four wins have been at this track, two this year, and he's not ruled out despite a lesser show here 12 days ago.
All three wins were in 2023, two over C&D; inconsistent since, for instance placed twice from six starts in the current winter/autumn campaign but none of those races were at Southwell and it's possible that the return here will receive a positive response.
Front-runner at Wolverhampton last three starts; ended a long losing run last month and probably bettered that performance when second 11 days later; there was a heavy defeat over C&D four starts back but she's back in the good books now.
Sole win (19 races) was in January 2023 but she missed chunks of last season and continues to fall in the weights; wore cheekpieces twice in 2023, for her only win on first occasion, and now sports first-time blinkers.
It's more than two years since he ran at this track (has won here) and even longer since he won, but he's well down the weights and was runner-up in a 1m4f Lingfield classified on latest outing when tongue tied for the second time; considered for a place.
0-18 (including five starts on Jersey) before he scored by a neck in last-gasp fashion at 80-1 in a classified at Lingfield (1m2f, AW) four weeks ago on second run for David Bridgwater; that was also his second run since a long absence; 1m3f looks well worth a go and he's in contention.
Close third in 1m Newcastle classified in January and there was an echo of that in his latest run, but this new trip (he tried 1m2f once) needs to spark something if he's to get off the mark at this 11th attempt.
His three wins here were in the old Fibresand days and he's not scored anywhere since September 2023; plenty of competitive shows at this track, the latest three starts ago, and his usual tongue-tie (absent last time) returns but others appeal more for win purposes.
0-13 overall, with a year off before this season; close third in a Lingfield classified (1m2f) on latest outing and he stayed on well, not so well as winner The Ormer Gatherer but there are place hopes.
