Irish Flat winner CHICAGO STORM is selected on the strength of his recent British hurdles form, while Sir Edward Lear should have potential after just two races, so he is feared most. Most of the others have fair claims.[Richard Austen]

Sole win (15 races) was over 1m on good to firm at Yarmouth last September; wore cheekpieces on last three starts, back to form in going down by a neck when upped to 1m2f at Chelmsford (AW) latest; back in the picture.
Started his career with two wins on AW in 2021; 0-14 since (five races over hurdles) and his only Flat race on turf was a heavy defeat on good to soft one year ago, but he has been on the premises on AW this winter on his only two starts for new yard.
Green but well on top late on to justify 5-4 favouritism in a five-runner restricted maiden at Ripon (1m2f, good) last August on debut; not so good at Redcar (1m2f, soft) two months later but this handicap debutant could clearly still be capable of better after just two starts.
Inconsistent during light career in Ireland for Willie McCreery but he won a 9.5f maiden at Clonmel (good) last September; 20-1 and tongue tied on stable debut at Chelmsford (1m2f, AW; Cavalry Call second) 17 days ago and shaped okay in fifth of nine; considered.
2-7 for Marco Botti; hasn't matched that form in his four starts for new yard but he caught the eye of the stewards on penultimate start (1m3f) and again made some headway from rear on latest (8.6f); he's also been hanging left in the closing stages but needs a close look.
7yo whose 11 wins were all over 7f, including two last year (May/July) off slightly higher marks than this; rather inconsistent this term but today's trip (he's unraced beyond 8.6f) asks the biggest question.
11-race maiden in Ireland who stays 1m4f, with peak ratings on good ground and Polytrack; left Sheila Lavery for 15,000gns 18 days ago; hooded last summer for first three starts and again today; player on best form.
Had Irish Flat wins last August (10.5f) and December (1m4f) and he's scored twice on good to soft from this year's five hurdle races for new yard; that hurdles form compares favourably with this Flat mark.
Infrequent winner who has edged back down the weights and finished on the heels of the winner with contrasting tactics over 9.4f (AW) and 1m (here) on her last two outings; soundly beaten on sole start beyond that, however, when trying 1m2f last September.
