Quite a competitive race for the grade with the top four in the weights all last-time-out winners. There may be more to come from Zooks now that she has broken her duck, while Rubellite has been running consistently well this year (12131) so looks sure to make her presence felt. MAMDOH and Black Smoke won different divisions of a 0-60 handicap over C&D 22 days ago and preference is for the former, who won his leg in a much quicker time. He has taken well to the fitting of cheekpieces.[David Bellingham]

Has improved for the fitting of cheekpieces and won twice over C&D last month, the latest when making just about all and holding on to score by a nose; up 2lb but still a player in his current mood.
Was winning for the third time over C&D when landing a slowly run event last month (Mamdoh won the other division in a much faster time); 3lb rise puts him back on his previous winning mark; shortlisted under suitable conditions.
In good form over 1m3f-16.5f on Tapeta this year (12131), the first two wins coming in 0-50 classified events but the latest in a Newcastle handicap (1m4f) 13 days ago; only 2lb higher and likely to make her presence felt.
Running well in defeat prior to making it 20th-time lucky under Billy Loughnane at Chelmsford (1m5f, Polytrack) 13 days ago; may have more to offer now that she has broken her duck and respected from 3lb higher.
4lb lower than when off the mark at Lingfield (2m, good to firm; first-time cheekpieces) last July, but she has looked regressive on the AW in recent months; needs the application of blinkers to bring about a resurgence.
Well beaten in three starts over 7f-9.5f on turf in Ireland last summer; makes his handicap/AW debut after seven months off and although nothing in his pedigree to suggest this big step up in trip will suit, is still well worth monitoring in the market.
Runner-up in both starts at Newcastle (1m, Tapeta) for George Boughey in the autumn but out of the frame in four handicaps for this yard, albeit not beaten far here (1m4f; first-time blinkers) nine days ago; needs to improve for the longer trip.
Stayed on well when beaten 2l into third of 12 behind Zooks at Chelmsford (1m5f, Polytrack) 13 days ago; that took his record to 0-15, but he shaped as though stepping up again in trip might suit him; each-way claims.
Ran one of his better races when beaten 2l into third of seven behind Mamdoh over C&D last month; shouldn't be far away again, but now 0-16 and others are preferred for the win.
Dual Tapeta winner over 1m4f including here; finished behind two of these on last month's Southwell return (16.5f, Tapeta), but his record after a break of four months or more suggests he would have needed it; may fare better.
Latest win came over hurdles last May, but just 1-31 on the Flat and didn't show enough on his reappearance here (9.5f) 16 days ago to make him of much interest.
