Drafted
Two 7f wins on AW, most recently here in November, but he didn't prove stamina for this far when making most before fading in steadily run C&D race for new yard last month; others more certain stayers.

Wyvern
C&D winner in November; can be excused some of his subsequent defeats, including when a never-nearer fifth after a slow start on his latest course run in January; can find another race when the luck favours him.

Pallas Lord
Multiple course winner at 7f and 1m, including this race in 2021; possibly better at the shorter trip now though and he wasn't finding much over C&D in his most recent attempts over 1m in the autumn.

Heretic
Successful handicap debut over C&D in January 2023 but not seen again until November; nothing notable for new yard since but perhaps the return to Newcastle will suit now down significantly in the weights.

Commander Crouch
Two creditable shows in midwinter, including over C&D, but his sole win was back in 2023 and he ran no sort of race on this track in January; needs to shrug that off.

Glastonbury
From prolific winning family that has served the yard well; forged ahead in first 1m handicap at Yarmouth in October; slowly away and made no impact at Redcar in November, but he should have some potential still and this stiff 1m can suit back on AW; cheekpieces worn last twice now discarded.

Odd Socks Havana
Four C&D wins; looked to be returning to form with cheekpieces refitted here in January and although he didn't feature over C&D since, he has a part to play off this mark on anything like his form last spring.
