Having kept on well when second of 17 over the extended 2m3f here last time, BOWLING BUDDY is taken to go one better now up in trip. The step up in distance could also prompt improvement from handicap newcomer Outer Banks and he is second choice ahead of Off The Jury and Forged Well.[Ben Hutton]

Hurdle/chase winner for Henry de Bromhead who is well handicapped on his best form; however, this 10yo has been absent since his £4,000 sale in September 2022 and is probably best watched on his stable debut.
Completed hat-trick for Olly Murphy last August-October (2m-2m3f) and placed on both runs for current stable, most recently second of 17 here (2m3f, soft) under Joshua Thompson; this 3m point winner has shaped as though today's step up in trip will suit and he's firmly in calculations.
Well beaten at Cartmel last May and pulled up at Uttoxeter in November on his only run since; something to prove but he notched a hat-trick early last year (2m7f/3m, soft) and is likely to bounce back at some stage.
Pulled up over fences on two of his last three starts, jumping poorly most recently; however, in between he was a good second in a chase at Ffos Las (2m5f, heavy) and he's been effective at 3m and over hurdles in the past; no surprise to see a big performance now back over hurdles.
3m point winner who is 0-6 under rules but has shown considerable promise, most recently a close third on handicap debut at Wincanton (3m, good to soft); wind op since; bang there if handling the forecast soft ground.
Very inconsistent and pulled up last time; however, he stayed on well for second in first-time cheekpieces (retained since) at Leicester (2m4f, heavy) two starts ago and is well worth a go at this new trip; a possible.
Well-treated on Irish form in 2022-23 season and he made an encouraging stable debut here in November 2023; however, three lesser runs followed and this is his first outing since last July; plenty to prove.
Won at Catterick (2m3f, soft) in December 2023 and runner-up there the next twice (2m3f, soft/heavy); well treated on that form but well below his best on his three starts since; revival needed now up in trip.
Underwhelming in the main last year and soundly beaten at Southwell three weeks ago; however, he may have needed that run after a three-month breaks and he continues to drop down the weights; has hinted on occasions that he may be suited by a staying trip and this course winner is not discounted.
Faded into sixth at Ayr last month on his first crack at 3m; however, he looked a good prospect for this sort of trip when staying on for second over an extended 2m6f at Kelso (soft) two starts ago and he'll be a contender if tapping back into that promise.
Well-beaten fourth on handicap debut at Sandown (2m4f) last time but perhaps the heavy ground was too much; prior to that he was placed three times in a row in novice hurdles (2m4f-3m, good to soft/soft) and this unexposed 6yo retains potential; interesting candidate.
Always behind at Uttoxeter (2m4f, soft) last time but it was a hot maiden and he previously kept on for a fair fifth at Chepstow (extended 2m3f, soft); made the frame in 3m points and this lightly raced 5yo is open to improvement now up in trip on handicap debut in a first-time tongue-tie; chance.
