There's no doubt Vape, on whom Charlie Tucker takes a first ride under rules, was unlucky behind Diamond Cottage here last time and he'll be popular on 3lb better terms, but the winner had to wait for a gap herself that day. Either way the vote goes to ROACH POWER, who's 15lb lower than when last seen on turf, following a spell on the AW, and who'll have appreciated the recent rain.[Graham Wheldon]

Said to have hung left the only time he's tackled soft ground, so doubt he'd want too much rain; was rated 27lb higher less than a year ago, which shows how things have been going, and wind surgery will need to have helped.
Dual C&D winner who finished second to Bama Lama in this race last year off a 3lb higher mark; resumed in good form, looking an unlucky loser here last time, and holds obvious claims.
Useful in his younger days but has been in decline for a while for his current yard; this is easier than he's used to and plenty of rain would help on comeback but all wins have come after a recent outing.
Soft/heavy-ground winner for Tim Easterby; has tumbled down the weights; hasn't seen out 7f the past twice (AW) and plenty of rain would help (taken out due to good ground here recently); fair chance.
Won this last year off a 3lb lower mark, one of three victories during a consistent season; been totally out of form this time round, though, again finishing well beaten over C&D last time.
Notched a third course win when ending a losing run over C&D 17 days ago (unlucky Vape not far behind in sixth); got messed about a bit herself and has a fair chance of defying a 3lb rise.
Plenty of short-priced defeats to go with just two wins, including when a beaten favourite in this last year; down to a career-low mark now but has done a lot of racing in the past year over 7f and needs to step up on this season's two efforts.
Done most racing on the AW and had no problems with 1m when last seen; often misses the break and Jack Doughty rides Lequinto, so there are more negatives than positives back from ten weeks off.
