Horn Cape
Six-time hurdle winner on soft/heavy ground; reverts to fences on a tempting mark but was well beaten in his only previous chase (in October 2023) and there may not be enough rain about for him today.

Hurricane Ali
7-40 over hurdles; not bred for fences and has left it rather late in the day to launch his chasing career but he runs this track well and is suited by good ground.

Came good for Lucinda Hughes with quite stylish hurdle win at Sedgefield (2m1f, good) in March but he's not straightforward and his latest run was disappointing; not an easy one to predict on chasing debut.

Coqolino
0-19 over fences; went close here (2m5f, heavy) last summer and is now 5lb below that mark but his recent efforts have been disappointing and he might find 2m1f on good ground an inadequate stamina test.

Disco Annie
Won twice over hurdles at Carlisle (2m1f, good to soft/soft) in November and ran well in defeat there (2m, soft) on chasing debut the following month; went off a bit too hard when well-held fourth at Perth (2m, good) ten days ago but certainly didn't run badly there; came second (over hurdles on good ground) on only previous visit to Cartmel and returns here on a good mark; hood refitted; good chance.
