Muker
He had made a slow start to this campaign but he showed he retained a good chunk of ability when picking up the pieces in a strongly-run C&D handicap two weeks ago; 2lb rise manageable and there shouldn't be a shortage of pace for him to run at this time either.

Looked a classy prospect early in his career but things haven't gone smoothly in recent seasons; last summer's Hamilton second (5f, heavy) came off a 6lb higher mark though and his subsequent defeats were in good company; drops in class for his reappearance but suspicion he could do with rain.

All wins on good or slower but effective on good to firm; ran well at Musselburgh on his seasonal return but couldn't back it up returned to that track two weeks ago; likely a career best will be needed.

Burning Cash
Won the corresponding race 12 months ago off a 3lb higher mark (good to firm); not beaten many home but hasn't run that badly in either start this year; no surprise to see him in the thick of it.

Easy to back and finished well beaten here two weeks ago but that race was set up for the closers; blinkers back on today and this multiple C&D winner needs serious consideration.

Did well on AW when the cheekpieces first went on, winning at Southwell in January and following that with two Newcastle successes; bounced back from a couple of lesser efforts when finishing third at Beverley 12 days ago (5f, good to firm; runner-up Frank The Spark runs in the 2.10); repeat would see him in the shake up.

Stash The Cash
Three wins last year (5f, heavy-good to soft) and reappeared with fair fifth of 14 at Musselburgh (5f, good) five weeks ago; could build on that and be in the mix if the forecast fast ground isn't an issue.

Poor draw at Beverley last month and that isn't the run to judge him on; has run well over C&D in the past and he's handicapped to go well.

Just behind Muker when third over C&D two weeks ago, picking up strongly against the stands' rail; has form on good to firm but all his wins have come on good or slower.
