Stroxx comes here in form but the sixth furlong is a concern. Variety Island may come on for the run and Tickets still has to prove himself on turf so this may rest between the veteran Brian The Snail and the unexposed handicap debutant WIGGINS B. The selection hinted at better at Doncaster when last seen and makes his seasonal return at a modest level.[Paul Smith]

Never dangerous in three runs last year but there was some promise in his latest run at Doncaster (6f, soft) nine months ago; bred to do better at some point and he's a potential improver now handicapping at a low level; interesting, especially if backed.
Veteran who is better on AW than turf; that is reflected in his mark though and he was third at Nottingham nine days ago on his return to the grass (5f, good); was going nowhere at halfway there but plugged on late and the return to 6f won't hurt; considered in a weak race.
Two 5f wins at Ripon last season, the second of them off today's mark; never in the hunt behind Stroxx at Catterick on his return 12 days ago; more to prove at 6f.
Took an age to get off the mark but he has won twice over 5f this year, digging deep at Catterick 12 days ago; 2lb rise less of a concern than the return to 6f (first crack at it since March 2023).
Unplaced in five turf starts; capable sprinter on AW and he's been in good form this year; 10lb lower mark to exploit returned to grass but has too much to prove in this sphere.
Infrequent winner but capable at this level and has run well at this track in the past (7f); suspicion he'll come on for this first outing since December though.
Veteran who has been an infrequent winner in recent seasons; not at his best on AW this year and no improvement for the return to turf nine days ago; visored for the first time.
