Useful hurdler PIGEON HOUSE was a close second when back on the Flat at Musselburgh last week and is the selection ahead of C&D winner Glory And Honour, who is fit from chasing. Last year's winner Justus is not ruled out on his reappearance.[Ben Hutton]

Tailed off over C&D (soft) last October and absent since; however, he won this last year (heavy) and followed up at Ripon (soft), and he's probably fine on good/good to soft ground; not ruled out on reappearance.
Mixed form over fences this year but was a good second in that sphere two starts ago (2m, good); won over C&D (soft) last October on penultimate Flat run and he's capable of having a big say if he's on a going day.
His mark continues to fall and he's shown some spark this year, finishing second at Newcastle (2m, AW) and a fair fourth of six at Kempton (2m, AW) last time; however, this regressive 7yo is without a win since September 2021 and isn't one to rely upon heavily.
Third over hurdles/fences earlier in the season but well beaten on the Flat, over fences and over hurdles on his three starts for this yard, and remains a maiden after 21 races; others preferred.
He's finished second a lot more often than he's won but this useful hurdler has potential off his Flat mark and was a good second when back in this code at Musselburgh (2m, good) last Wednesday; key player.
Won at Haydock (2m, good) last June; unable to get competitive on the Flat and over hurdles subsequently last year but the reapplied cheekpieces may help and he's not written off, now 4lb lower than for last win.
