Captain Kinsella has been punished by the handicapper for his novice win over C&D in December but it was a big effort under a penalty and he may not have reached his ceiling just yet. Most of the others have something to recommend them too, particularly UNTIL DAWN (nap) who has looked well ahead of her mark this year and can take the step up in class in her stride.[Paul Smith]

Promising early 2yo, winning in France on debut before close seconds at Ascot and in the Listed National Stakes at Sandown; progress ground to a halt as the year wore on and he's taking on some improving opponents on his return from four months off.
Looked an extremely difficult ride on his first two starts but he was gelded afterwards and has looked a different proposition this winter, third at Kempton (6f) before two front-running 5f wins at Newcastle and here; hit with a 12lb rise for the latest success and he'll need to improve again to make a winning handicap debut.
He had threatened prior to rewarding strong market support at Wolverhampton (5f) in October; sold for 22,000gns later that month; has a 7lb higher mark to contend with on his stable debut after 163 days off.
Won a 5f fillies' novice at York on her second start; series of creditable nursery efforts in the second half of 2024 without looking well ahead of her mark; not fully exposed just yet and she's not ruled out after a break.
5f novice winner for Ed Walker and also ran well in handicaps for that yard, including over C&D; made a winning stable debut at Wolverhampton last month and he should remain competitive despite a 4lb rise.
Threw away a winning opportunity by hanging badly right on her handicap debut at Wolverhampton in January but she's raced near the stands' rail at Newcastle and Southwell since and beat another hugely progressive sprinter in good fashion on both occasions; up 7lb in a stronger race but she looks the type to hold her own in better company.
No improvement for the switch to handicaps at Wolverhampton seven weeks ago; dropped 3lb but he's taking on some fast horses here and the drop to 5f isn't sure to suit.
Only had the three runs for new stable, winning over 6f here then placed at Lingfield and Kempton; still feasibly treated but he's not alone in that regard in this field.
