Classy jumper MARBLE SANDS is an intriguing contender now up in trip on his Flat handicap debut and can take advantage of what could be an advantageous opening mark. The highly progressive Alrazeen is feared most in his bid for a four-timer, ahead of Robusto who arrives in fine form.[Ben Hutton]

Good third off 1lb higher at Kempton (2m, Polytrack) last April on penultimate Flat start and he won easily on his hurdle debut there in October; however, he's failed to kick on from that and has been well beaten in handicap hurdles the last twice; has to get back on track; unraced on Tapeta.
Has won at different AW tracks on his last three starts, over C&D on the middle occasion; this thriving 4yo did it nicely at Kempton last time and a 3lb rise may not prevent the four-timer.
Inconsistent on the Flat and over jumps last year but reverted to AW with a neck win at 66-1 at Lingfield (2m, Polytrack) three weeks ago; also effective on Tapeta and could be thereabouts if again on a going day.
In good form in defeat over 1m2f/1m6f on the Flat last August/September and he's done well in juvenile hurdles since; has hinted this step up in trip will suit now back on the Flat and he's respected in a first-time visor (replacing cheekpieces).
Has a very healthy 4-14 strike-rate on AW and he's been beaten just a neck in this sphere the last twice, at Kempton (2m) then here (1m6f); good chance this prominent-racer will be bang there once more.
Front-runner who has run over 2m on the Newcastle Tapeta on his last three starts, winning on New Year's Day and bounced back from lesser run to finish second of six last time; might not be far away.
9yo who was slowly away and failed to threaten last year on his first three Flat starts (1m4f/1m, twice here); however, he still showed some promise and this very useful jumper could relish the step up in trip on his Flat handicap debut; has plenty of potential off his opening mark.
Has run really well in defeat on last three visits here, beaten just 1l when third over C&D in December; however, merely sixth at Chelmsford the next twice and he's a four-timer winner there; needs to raise his game.
Prematurely eased when beaten a short head here (1m6f) this month; stays this trip and shouldn't be ruled out but he refused to race at Chelmsford nine days ago and he did the same thing twice in a row in autumn 2023, so comes with risks attached.
