Won three staying handicaps in succession in 2023 (soft/good to soft) but hasn't been in quite such good form since; probably found the ground too testing when pulled up at Haydock last time; a bit to prove at present.
Bought for £3,000 out of Tom Lacey's yard at Doncaster last May having won two Catterick handicaps over 1m7f earlier in the year; this ground fine and not disgraced when tried over 2m4f/3m; probably best watched on stable debut having been off since April.
Yet to win over hurdles; has improved since going handicapping, finishing in the frame in two races over 2m3f at Catterick, wearing cheekpieces on first occasion (second, beaten a head) and a visor last time (1.5l fourth); visor retained; interesting.
Placed in two UK points before getting off the mark on rules/stable debut when winning a Hexham maiden hurdle in June (2m4f, good; form fair); below his best in a Carlisle novice last time (2m4f, good to soft); quite interesting on handicap debut after a break since October.
Won 2m3f handicap hurdle at Doncaster off 6lb higher for Ben Pauling in March 2023 (2m3f, good); creditable third in a 2m1f handicap here on first jumps outing for present yard (good to soft); interesting contender now back up in trip.
Won a Kelso bumper (2m, good) and a maiden hurdle at Ayr (2m4f, good) in 2023; had a 582-day break and hasn't run up to his best in two outings this season; may fare better with cheekpieces now tried.
Bidding for a hat-trick having won a novice handicap at Carlisle (2m3f, soft) and a handicap at Wetherby (2m4f, soft); up 15lb (put up 9lb for latest win); each-way chance.
Not particularly consistent but has won two of his four starts after 1060 day break this season, latest a C&D handicap off 4lb lower; not so good last time; wouldn't rule out.
Unexposed maiden; pulled up behind Aire Spray at Carlisle on handicap debut in December (2m3f, soft) but much better run when around 8l fourth to Authorized Mission (7lb worse off) over 2m6f here last time (soft); quite interesting.
