Diamont Katie and Jake Loves Laura have shown ability and are preferred in that order, as Diamont Katie has had only one chance to show what she can do. However, they do not set a high standard for the Cheveley Park-owned RESCUE MISSION who is selected to make a winning start for Andrew Balding. The betting moves should give an important clue about her.[Richard Austen]

£68,000 yearling; 9-2 second favourite, always mid-division and kept on when just over 2l fourth of ten in novice at Southwell (6f, Tapeta) 15 days ago; should improve and that's among the best form in this field, albeit not setting a high standard.
Tenth foal; Massaat half-sister to four winners up to 1m including Cool Echo (7f AW; RPR 73), Ruby Looker (5f AW; 65) and Coastal Passage (7f AW; 61); dam placed at 5f/6f (68), out of 5f/6f Listed winner; stable is not the most likely source of debut winners.
Big odds in two maidens and two novice events, all 6f and with best form on first and third occasions; the latter was on Southwell Tapeta but not disgraced when up against it again on Lingfield Polytrack last week; this looks much her best chance on form but she may well find one or two too good again.
Fifth foal; Bated Breath half-sister to 6f AW 2yo winner Mohi (RPR 98); dam 6f winner (including Listed; 103), sister to 5f/6f winner Peace Seeker from useful sprinting family; probably one for later on, given her stable, but worth a market check in a weak race.
By Kodiac; first foal; unraced dam half-sister to ten winners at up to 1m including Doctor Brown (smart 6f-1m 2yo/HK), Priceless (5f Group 2) and Brazen (6f-1m including 2yo/AW/UAE), out of 5f 2yo/6f winner; major stable is going well this year and mostly with novice/maiden winners, none on debut but this filly is very much one to note in what looks a weak race.
