Hititi
Pulled up on second start this term but that was without his usual tongue-tie; with it he was second at Chepstow (2m3f) and Exeter (3m) in his other two races this season; completed a hat-trick in spring 2023 but has been chalking up the seconds since (with cheekpieces this term) and minor honours again look his best hope.

Do Your Job
Won for Lucinda Russell at Wetherby (2m4f, soft) on Boxing Day 2023 but has fired only once in his four starts for new yard since; returning cheekpieces might help on today's second start this term and he's never run off a lower mark, but he's not proved his stamina.

Jupiter Du Gite
Headstrong front-runner with inconsistent profile; won in good style at Uttoxeter (2m4f, heavy) in March on his second chase start and reappeared with two solid places under Freddie Mitchell, the latest when upped from 2m4f to 3m at Newbury, but it may be hard to dominate this larger field.

Tyre Kicker
Won three in a row early in 2023 and back from a long layoff with good second at Galway (2m6f, soft) in October this term; two lesser efforts over 3m at Navan have followed (the Troytown on first occasion) but he needs a second look for his highly respected stable.

Es Perfecto
Chasing on last six starts, running well last term in his first three and back to form with a 2m4f win at Kempton in November; not so hot over that same C&D on Boxing Day but this trip may well be manageable if he's back on song in first-time headgear.

Hasthing
2-4 as a novice hurdler; lacked fluency on chase debut but still displayed significant promise and he built on that when justifying favouritism here (2m4f) last month, travelling best and finding plenty despite two late mistakes; 7lb higher today but this longer trip can help and he looks promising.

Hugos New Horse
5-12 over hurdles and close second of five in novice handicap at Plumpton (2m4f) last month on chase debut, staging a major rally in third-time cheekpieces; back up just 1lb and although his four forays beyond 2m5f have not worked out, he's worth another shot at it on that latest evidence.

Stormy Flight
11yo who is 3-15 over fences, last season winning twice over 2m3f at Exeter on soft; went close over that same C&D six weeks ago and he stays further than this, but this race promises to be a bit too competitive.

Ballycamus
Largely consistent record over fences includes two wins at about 2m4f last winter and another over 3m here in a good scrap on latest outing; back up 3lb to career-high mark but he should be seriously involved.

Carbon King
Last campaign was very hit and miss but included two wins over about 2m4f on heavy going and he seems to be working his way back to form this season; not proven beyond 2m5f but he's too well handicapped to be ignored.

Red Rookie
10yo who is 2-16 over fences with latest win in March 2023, but he took some minor honours over a wide variety of trips last January-May; has a recent run under his belt and, having run creditably in the first of two runs with cheekpieces, he now tries a visor.

Jamaico
Ex-French 6yo; opened his account in good style in a chase at Auteuil (2m1f, very soft) in June 2023 and sold for 310,000euros the following month; had a baptism of fire on British debut in 2m4f Grade 1 at the Cheltenham Festival last March, making mistakes before pulled up at 150-1, but he should be a vastly more interesting proposition in this handicap.

Thor De Cerisy
Won twice in small fields over an extended 2m3f on heavy going at Chepstow last February/March; back to some form when second at Lingfield (2m4f, soft) on latest outing but this 11yo goes beyond 2m4f for the first time.

Hold Up La Colmine
Signed off his 2022-23 season with a breakthrough success at Sedgefield (2m4f, soft) on handicap hurdle debut; won an Irish maiden point back in 2022 and his switch to chasing under 7lb claimer at Hexham (2m4f, soft; 6-1) last month was encouraging, despite being far from error free, on first run for 629 days; hopefully he will have come on since that run and be better for the experience, for a yard which is in blinding form.
