This looks good for GREATNESS AWAITS (nap), who has remained in good form since his 2m hurdle win in June and, if judged on his Flat stamina, ought to be suited by today's step up in trip. The Dark Edge displayed improvement when second on his handicap debut in the spring and may still have potential, while R S Ambush moves back into a handicap after some consistent efforts in maidens this summer and is next on the list.[Chris Wilson]

Made the frame in three maidens this summer (2m-2m4f, good; also acts on soft) and looked set to do so again before last-flight fall at Worcester three weeks ago (first-time blinkers); probably on a workable mark for this handicap return and can make his presence felt again.
Runner-up twice since breakthrough hurdle win in June, more recently behind bang-in-form subsequent winner at Market Rasen (2m2f, good) last month; moves up in trip again here and won't mind if there's rain about; major player.
Very well handicapped on old form for Nicky Henderson but looked badly out of sorts in Irish handicap hurdles last summer and when pulled up on chasing debut in November; sold for 2,200gns this April; makes stable debut after ten-month absence and with a lot to prove.
Dual hurdle winner (once here); seemingly back in good nick when runner-up at Fontwell (2m3f, good) in June, his second run after a break, but disappointed there last month and needs a boost from the first-time cheekpieces today; probably best suited by good/good to soft ground.
Regressive on the Flat nowadays and has shown only minor promise in three novice/maiden hurdles (2m-2m2f) this summer; moves up in trip and sports refitted blinkers on handicap hurdle debut; improvement needed.
Displayed improvement when second of 11 on handicap debut at Huntingdon (2m3f, good) in April; that form isn't anything to get too excited about and we haven't seen him again since but further progress is possible.
Signed off for Milton Harris with win at Sedgefield (2m1f, good) last October and was placed twice on AW for new stable during the winter but reverted to hurdling with a poor run last month and has stamina to prove here.
Looked beaten when falling on chasing debut in July but ran quite well when fourth over hurdles at Fontwell (2m3f, good) two starts ago and remains lightly raced; could have a say, even from 3lb out of the weights.
