Stormin Crossgales
Returned to form with win at Huntingdon (2m, good) in May, despite Jack Hogan's saddle slipping in the closing stages, and gave another good account when clear second at Market Rasen (2m1f, good) in June; there's a slight doubt about him on a left-handed track but he's still on a workable mark after latest 6lb rise.

Alien Storm
Not seen since some below-par hurdle runs in the spring but is well suited by this track and makes his chasing debut from a tempting mark; ran well here when fresh a year ago (albeit fell at last flight); interesting.

Kauto The King
Ten chase wins, the latest when digging deep at regular haunt Newton Abbot (2m5f, good) three weeks ago; recent 4lb rise does not look excessive and he can cope with today's drop back in trip; likely to give another good account.

Cabrakan
Placed over hurdles for Milton Harris last autumn but returned from layoff with two poor Flat runs for new stable in June/July and has too much to prove on this chasing debut.

Nevendon
Ran well when second in selling handicap hurdle in May and was not disgraced when fourth of seven on chasing debut at Stratford (2m1f, good) the following month but struggled at Bangor recently and is not one to rely upon.
